Lecture capture utilizes Kaltura's Classroom Capture software on the classroom PC. Recordings can be made at any time without reservations, though scheduled recordings are possible, too.
With integration to Kaltura's media management tools, lecture capture recordings are placed in your "My Media" folder like another video.
Zoom lets you set up a personalized online meeting room for a standard meeting (up to 100 participants), a large meeting (up to 300 participants), or a webinar (500 to 3,000 participants). Visit the IU Knowledge Base for a feature comparison chart.
Zoom offers high-quality audio and video, intuitive sharing and annotation tools, breakout rooms, whiteboard tools, and the option to download meeting recordings as MP4 files. It works with Canvas and on any platform, including iOS and Android.
Kaltura simplifies the process of adding video to your course. You can use it for storing, publishing, and streaming videos, video collections, and other media. The system integrates with Canvas, letting faculty create, upload, and share multimedia content with ease.
Instructors also have access to a personal media repository, and each course section will have a dedicated media gallery to simplify sharing. If requested, captions and transcripts are automatically integrated with media upon completion.
